Welcome to The Lovaas Center

Autism and autism treatment are scary words for new parents. The “Lovaas method” which incorporates Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has over 50-years of rigorous research proving effectiveness. According to a report published by the U.S. Surgeon General in 1999, “Thirty years of research demonstrated the efficacy of applied behavioral methods in reducing inappropriate behavior and in increasing communication, learning, and appropriate social behavior.” The pioneering  work that began in the 1950s by the late Dr. O. Ivar Lovaas is continually improving. This work is now carried on by his son, Erik Lovaas, and The Lovaas Center staff. Supervising staff at the Lovaas Center have completed the “170- Series coursework” once taught at UCLA, and have been trained and employed as consultants by Dr. Lovaas. The Lovaas Center is the only agency in the State of Nevada to be contracted with Clark County School District (CCSD) and Washoe County School Disctrict (WCSD).
