Jon Paul Saunders

Jon Paul Saunders is a nationally Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Nevada state Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) with The Lovaas Center for Behavior Intervention. He began working with children with autism in 1996 at the age of 17 when his younger sister was diagnosed with autism. At that time, Jon Paul worked with his younger sister and several other children diagnosed with autism in the Las Vegas area. He provided in-home intervention directly supervised by the Lovaas Institute for Early Intervention and two other well-established providers. Jon Paul also worked as an inclusion aid within the public school system. After being an in-home interventionist and inclusion aid for two years, Jon Paul was invited to participate in a student internship program at the Lovaas Institute for Early Intervention where he received extensive training in Applied Behavior Analysis (A.B.A.) and Discrete Trial Teaching. As well, Jon Paul attended a sequence of psychology courses provided by the University of California, Los Angeles, which was then, directly affiliated with the Lovaas Institute for Early Intervention. After completing the student internship, Jon Paul returned home to Las Vegas to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas while continually providing evidence based treatment to children diagnosed with autism. Upon completion of his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, He began his work as a Behavioral Consultant for the U.C.L.A. Clinic for the Behavioral Treatment of Children providing supervision of evidenced based treatment to children with autism in the Las Vegas area. After two-years of being a Behavior Consultant with the U.C.L.A. Clinic for the Behavioral Treatment of Children, The Lovaas Center for Behavior Intervention was established in Las Vegas, and Jon Paul began providing evidence-based services to children with autism and their families through The Lovaas Center. In 2014, Jon Paul received his Master’s degree from the Department of Education and Clinical Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Special Education with a concentration in autism and Applied Behavior Analysis. Jon Paul has been working for The Lovaas Center for Behavior Intervention since it’s inception in 2005 and is currently a Clinical Supervisor.
